Pensacola man indicted for possession of ammunition by illegal alien

TALLAHASSEE, Florida — Emiliano Rafael Hernandez Escamilla, Jr., a 30-year-old from Pensacola, Florida, has been indicted on a federal charge of possession of ammunition by an illegal alien.

Hernandez appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Martin A. Fitzpatrick at the United States Courthouse in Tallahassee, Florida, with a trial scheduled for June 22, 2026, before District Court Judge Mark E. Walker. If convicted, Hernandez faces up to 15 years in prison, according to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Joseph A. Ravelo.
