Heat humidity & severe thunderstorm risk increasing Pennsylvania New Jersey

Last Day Of Low Humidity As Tropical Air

Brings Heat High Humidity & Storm Risks

Enjoy the last day of comfortable temperatures and humidity because that is going by the wayside for the rest of the week. To the west we see some high clouds running out a head of a developing warm front in the Upper Midwest that will head eastward. High pressure is along the coast and that will keep us in partly to mostly sunny skies overall today. Dew points are in the 40s which is exceptional and temperatures today will top mostly in the low to middle 80s except a little cooler along south and east facing shorelines. Radars will remain nice and quiet today and tonight. Wednesday morning lows will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s as dew points rise and some clouds move in.

Wednesday will be much more humid. In fact we will see dew points rise to 65 to 70 by the end of the day and that will be uncomfortable. Also a warm front approaches so look for the risk for showers and some thunderstorms later in the day into Wednesday evening. Highs will reach the 80s inland but north and east of New York City, probably not out of the 70s until the warm front passes.
