NJ Veterinarian Stabbed to Death Outside His Home as Son Discovers Him on Front Lawn

Cherry Hill, New Jersey — A New Jersey veterinarian was stabbed to death outside his own home in a planned attack carried out by a man consumed by jealousy over a romantic relationship, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

Cristian Custodio-Aquino, 28, of Oregon, has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the killing of 45-year-old Michael Anthony. He is expected to be sentenced to 30 years in prison on July 9.

Police responding to Anthony’s home on Sharrowvale Road around 7 a.m. on December 10, 2024, found him suffering from multiple stab wounds to the neck, head and body.
