Gnocchi’s Reopens in South Philly Under New Leadership With Italian-American Menu

Gnocchi’s, a South Philadelphia dining staple on East Passyunk Avenue since 1989, has reopened under new ownership. Led by Maria Enokian and chef Ryan Moore, the two are marrying the venue’s 36-year legacy with a refreshed culinary direction.

The restaurant’s lineage traces back to Ristorante San Carlo under Mama Frusone. Her exacting standards and handmade pastas inspired a generation of Italian cooks. The establishment became a bedrock of the Passyunk Square community under the leadership of Missoum Khemici.
