$250,000 Bail Was Set and Posted the Same Day in a Falls Township Gym Parking Lot Case

Mikal Malik Walker, 31, of Philadelphia, is due before a Falls Township judge on Aug. 19, on two counts the Falls Township Police Department filed after a child was found alone in a parked car outside a gym on Plaza Boulevard. He spent part of one day this month in the Bucks County Correctional Facility. He was out again before that day ended.

The state’s public court record carries the part of the story the first accounts did not reach. Bail was set on the morning of Aug. 10 at 10 percent of $250,000, and a professional bondsman posted a $250,000 surety bond the same day. On the docket, the confinement entry opens and closes on Aug. 10.

Nothing has been decided. The case is listed as active and awaiting a preliminary hearing, and the two charges sit on the file without a disposition.
