Glenside man accused of intentionally hitting bicyclist with SUV to stand trial

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Glenside man accused of intentionally hitting a 22-year-old on a bicycle with his SUV in July has been ordered to stand trial on several charges, including attempted murder.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on July 13. According to testimony from detectives at a preliminary hearing, 41-year-old Phillip Prince accelerated his Jeep Compass down a hill on Meyer Avenue, near Ardsley Park, in Glenside, jumped a curb, and hit a 22-year-old on a bicycle, throwing him about 90 feet.

Prince’s attorney, Michael Walker, said his client did not intend to hit anyone…
