Man faces three decades in prison for ‘reign of terror’ in Norristown and Pottstown

NORRISTOWN — With a three-decade prison term, a judge put an end to a young man’s “reign of terror” which included multiple gunpoint robberies and shootings that plagued the boroughs of Norristown and Pottstown and targeted eight victims, some randomly chosen and others with whom he had a grudge.

“We are in a reign of terror and you were a big part of it,” Montgomery County Judge Steven T. O’Neill, lamenting the gun violence that has shattered the two boroughs, said as he addressed 22-year-old Hashiem Qualeem Holly. “I was shocked that someone of this age who would conduct this reign of terror.

“These are serious crimes. They’ve had serious impact on people’s lives. (Holly) worshipped guns. He had them with him at all times. He took pictures with them. He was ready for anything, not just self-protection,” O’Neill said. “This sentence has to weigh in the protection of the public.”…
