The Weldon Fire Company of Glenside shared video footage today from a basement fire in the 1100 block of Clemens Avenue in the Roslyn section of Abington Township which took place on Saturday, April 18.
Roslyn Fire Company previously posted that firefighters were on scene for approximately two hours conducting overhaul operations and breaking down after the fire had been extinguished. Eight local companies provided mutual aid.
According to Weldon Fire Company’s post, the footage “captures crews stretching a line and preparing to advance into the basement under heavy fire conditions. At the same time, additional personnel conducted an aggressive primary search using a life/fire layout callout. Crews immediately searched around and behind the front door.”…
