NORRISTOWN — Two Norristown men were held for trial after their preliminary hearings in connection with their alleged involvement in the November 2025 gang-related gunshot slaying of a 19-year-old borough man.
Ziyker Evan Washington, 20, of the 1200 block of West Marshall Street, and Mark Fields Jr., 18, of the 300 block of Haws Avenue, were ordered to stand trial, after their joint preliminary hearing before District Court Judge Todd N. Barnes on Friday, on charges of first- and second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, carrying a firearm without a license and possession of a weapon in connection with the alleged 6:08 p.m. Nov. 30, 2025, gunshot slaying of Hamid Myheime Boyd in the 1000 block Powell Street.
Barnes, who determined prosecutors presented sufficient evidence to move the charges to trial, held the hearing in a courtroom at the county jail in Lower Providence.
