The city of Glendale offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday; however, many services and amenities will still be running for residents’ convenience and recreation.
All residential garbage, recycling, and bulk trash collection schedules will be provided at regularly scheduled collection times on July 3 and 4. There will be many ways for residents and visitors to travel around the city during the holiday weekend using public transportation. Valley Metro buses in the city will operate on a regular Saturday schedule on July 4. However, Valley Metro Express and RAPID bus services will not be running on July 3, 4, and 5. GUS Bus route 1 will be available on its usual Saturday schedule on July 4, but GUS Bus routes 2 and 3 will not be serving customers on the holiday. MicroTransit (Dial-A-Ride) services will be provided from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 4, and reservations for rides that day must be made by noon on July 2.
