An Arizona man is headed to prison for decades after annihilating a family in a car crash when he was 16 years old and high on marijuana, according to prosecutors.
Bjorn Hartzell, now 20, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to five counts of second-degree murder and one count of felony endangerment, according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
Hartzell was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee near 107th Avenue and Lone Cactus Drive in Peoria when he struck a minivan carrying “a family of two adults and four juveniles who had just left a Thanksgiving get-together” in November 2023, according to the county attorney’s press release…
