Maricopa County Animal Care and Control notes a record-breaking day of 227 adoptions with a total of 417 dogs finding forever homes throughout the whole week.
On Sept. 19, “an all-time high” adoption rate was recorded, according to a press release thanking people for their kindness and patience while staff worked around the clock to handle meet-and-greets, process adoptions, and care for the dogs awaiting their chances to be adopted.
“Some of you had recently lost a pet, others were taking a chance on adopting for the first time. But all of you showed the power of community and coming together to help our overlooked, homeless animals. Even if you didn’t adopt, your likes, comments, and shares all made the difference,” the release stated…
