Talyn Vigil, a defendant in the 2023 murder of 16-year-old Preston Lord, is back in jail after being arrested three times in the last year.

Vigil, 20, was arrested Tuesday for failure to comply with the terms of his release and booked into the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Intake, Transfer and Release facility in Phoenix. His bond was set at $2 million, and he was scheduled to appear in court at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Prosecutors are expected to ask the court to keep Vigil in jail until he is tried for the death of Lord, who was fatally beaten while leaving a Halloween party in Queen Creek three years ago…
