Man chases dream to graduate after years of homelessness: ‘I just kept taking small steps’

At nearly 60, Addist Bennett, an Arizona man, was left homeless following a cascade of unfortunate events. His troubles began after suffering a hernia, which rendered him unable to work.

“I just thought that would never happen to me, but it did,” Bennett told AZ Family.

He added, “They denied my workers comp and left me in a homeless situation because I was ultimately fired.”…
