Brush fire near Horseshoe Lake northeast of Phoenix grows to 300 acres

HORSESHOE LAKE, AZ (AZFamily) — Firefighters are battling a new brush fire northeast of Phoenix in the Tonto National Forest.

The Horseshoe Fire broke out Thursday near the west side of the Verde River, south of Horseshoe Lake.
