Videos show Phoenix officers fire within seconds after armed man raises gun

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — New videos show the split-second decision Phoenix police officers had to make when they opened fire on a man who pointed a gun at them in an alley near downtown two weeks ago.

Police were looking for the man, who was wanted by Tolleson police because he reportedly pointed a gun at officers while they were trying to arrest him on felony warrants.

Police said they found him around 10 a.m. on April 29 at a parking lot near Fifth Avenue and McDowell Road. He parked his car and walked into a nearby alley…
