Pa. county to light courthouse blue in honor of late 40-year employee

A Pennsylvania county courthouse will be lit blue for several nights in honor of a longtime employee who recently died.

Allegheny County announced that the courthouse will be turned blue from Tuesday to Saturday to honor 40-year employee Steve Pilarski, 60, who died last week after a battle with cancer.

Blue was Pilarski’s favorite color and the county said in a statement it was proud to light the courthouse “as a symbol of our gratitude for his service to the county.”…
