A North Side resource center that provides social services to homeless Pittsburghers will shut down early next month, and it is unclear when or if it will be replaced.
The Reaching Out On The Streets (ROOTS) Program drop-in center, located in the East Ohio Street business district, serves as a resource hub for unhoused individuals and others needing help. People could visit the center to receive assistance with paperwork, connections to housing, healthcare and pet care, county assistance and other support during weekday hours. But the center will close as of Oct. 2.
