Pittsburgh Oktoberfest returns with food, music and Ferris wheel

Pittsburgh’s annual Oktoberfest celebration has officially kicked off with German-inspired food, drinks and entertainment in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh through Oct. 11.

The event takes over Market Square and the Roberto Clemente Bridge, and organizers are promoting the festival as “Prostburgh,” with attractions ranging from traditional Bavarian fare and seasonal beer to family-friendly activities throughout the 11-day run.

The Clemente bridge has festival games lining the streets as well as food and beverage stands. When you make it to the end of the bridge, you’ll be greeted by a 60-foot Ferris wheel that overlooks the entire city skyline…
