A Nanticoke man is among the more than 1,600 inmates jailed at a western Pennsylvania jail where he faces allegations he picked up a 14-year-old girl he met online.
Christopher P. Jones, 27, of West Poplar Street, was transferred last Thursday from the Luzerne County Correctional Facility to the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh on charges by the Whitehall Borough Police Department.
Jones was apprehended in Plymouth Township on May 3 by the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police at Wilkes-Barre on an arrest warrant charging him with unlawful contact with a child, criminal attempt to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, criminal attempt to commit statutory sexual assault, criminal attempt to commit aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors, and interference with custody of a child…
