McKeesport Area School Board has approved an updated salary structure in an attempt to attract additional qualified teachers and retain them once they begin work in the district.
Approved by school directors during the May 14 meeting, the schedule increases starting salaries and delivers regular pay increases in an effort to reduce teacher turnover and keep the district competitive with other nearby school systems.
