BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — An 11-foot alligator lurking near the entrance of Eagles Landing Middle School in Boca Raton disrupted the Monday morning routine.
The Palm Beach Schools Police Department said that its officers and wildlife experts moved quickly to secure the campus and remove the massive reptile.
The approximately 225-pound alligator was spotted in a canal near the school’s entrance, prompting a swift response for student safety. Photos show the massive size of the gator.
