Man charged with violating Florida’s ‘super speeder law’ on Crosstown Parkway

PORT ST. LUCIE – A 25-year-old man was arrested for violating the state “super speeder law” after he was stopped on Crosstown Parkway for allegedly driving about 100 mph, according to a Port St. Lucie Police Facebook posting.

Tyreek Jermein Russell was stopped by a Port St. Lucie traffic officer along the Crosstown Parkway Bridge on June 17, according to the Facebook posting.

The officer first noticed Russell traveling about 75 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. As the officer attempted to catch up to the car, Russell continued accelerating and was ultimately clocked at 100 mph while traveling over the bridge…
