FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A 9-year-old boy has died, and a 13-year-old boy was injured following a collision involving a dirt bike and a FedEx delivery truck in Fort Pierce on Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred on July 20, 2026, at approximately 3:07 p.m. along East Midway Road. According to investigators, a ProTaper dirt bike carrying the two young boys was traveling eastbound along the sidewalk on the north side of the road, approaching the driveway of a residence. At the same time, a FedEx box truck was traveling southbound down the driveway to pull onto the sidewalk area.
