PORT ST. LUCIE – A 35-year-old Port St. Lucie pet groomer has been charged with felony animal cruelty, according to a police report. Aja Zukas, who owns Paws Paradise, was arrested Thursday after Port St. Lucie Animal Control Officers initially were sent to the business Sept. 6 in response to a complaint of a dog left inside the building for more than 24 hours without food or water, according to the report.
