A Florida man who rescued a woman and her children from a sinking vehicle was honored. Senator Ashley Moody recently recognized Casey Curtis, of Martin County, with a Florida’s Finest Award for rescuing the family from a sinking vehicle.
Casey Curtis saw a vehicle crash into a canal through his rear-view window, then jumped into action to save three children from the backseat. Curtis then held the unconscious driver’s head above the water until first responders arrived.
