7 New Restaurant Openings Around Portland Worth Knowing, May 2026

BEAUMONT-WILSHIRE — Portland added a new name to its food cart pod portfolio on Friday, May 22, with Fremont Garage, a community dining and gathering space along Northeast Fremont. Once fully up and running (some carts are still getting settled), the pod will host eight different food carts. Some of the debut carts include Rayal Indian Cuisine and Wolf’s Head Burgers & Malts. The pod also features a full bar with beer, cocktails, and mocktails, plus indoor and outdoor setting. The pod’s name is an homage to the site’s history as an old auto shop. 4403 NE Fremont Street

OVERLOOK — Specialty shop Prince Coffee opened its newest location in the Overlook neighborhood in mid-May, bringing its signature beverages, natural wine selection, and sleek design to the Northwest quadrant. The menu mirrors that of other locations, with teas, lattes, brewed coffees, and breakfast sandwiches by day and aperitivo hour snacks (think potato chip towers layered with prosciutto) and wine in the evening. 1936 N Killingsworth Street

WOODLAWN — Tiny Giants Brewing, the newest venture from craft brewing pro Steve Beaudoin (formerly of Fracture Brewing), opened the doors to its new taproom in the Woodlawn area on Saturday, April 25. The brewery has been in production since June 2025, but this marks its first public space. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, colorful murals, and a tap list featuring brews like the Wolf Hologram West Coast IPA and guest pours. Tamale Boy, Ranch Pizza, and Lil’ Barbecue are all steps away for grub options. 6719 NE 18th Avenue.
