Multnomah County leaders consider budget proposal cutting hundreds of shelter beds

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Multnomah County is looking at a budget proposal that would cut hundreds of homeless shelter beds in the county, KATU has learned from information obtained in a public records request.

On Thursday, county commissioners will vote on a budget proposal, which includes closing some shelters, because of the current deficit.
