Dinner rush ends, the break-ins begin at popular Portland food cart pod

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — One of Portland’s most popular food cart pods is dealing with a crime problem that operators say continues despite citywide progress in reducing retail theft.

Managers at The Heist Food Cart Pod in Southeast Portland’s Woodstock neighborhood say a burglar has repeatedly targeted the property after business hours, leaving vendors frustrated and calling for more police attention.
