A 1939 Southwest Portland house designed by one of the city’s influential architects and reinvented in the 21st century is for sale at $1,725,000.

Architect Roscoe Hemenway created the original plans for the cottage with a basement on a sloped 0.36-acre lot at 5202 S.W. Burton Drive.
