Woman pulled from Columbia River near Vancouver Waterfront after rescue response

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KATU) — A woman was pulled from the Columbia River on Saturday afternoon after Vancouver firefighters responded to a report of a person floating near the railroad bridge west of Interstate 5 and the Vancouver Waterfront.

The Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched at about 3:07 p.m. Saturday, June 20. A Vancouver Fire boat responded along with several land-based Vancouver Fire units.

Rescue Boat 80 and Fire Boat 17 also responded to assist, and the United States Coast Guard was consulted to support response operations…
