Some Farmhouse Pool Updates With Wayfair

Summer in Oregon is unbeatable (try). My “favorite things to do near Portland” post is coming up soon (I’m such a tourist!), but hanging in our backyard with friends and family is certainly one of them. We are hosting so many parties and school events this summer, which brings me 10/10 on the joy scale. Like any project, we continue to make some tweaks and updates based on our needs, how we are using it, and what was working (or just old and dirty and needed replacing). I bought a few things (from Wayfair) for a little pool update, which came so fast, so let’s take a new tour.

I know I need to prune those flowers (and did), but look how gorgeous and lush it is. The rain and sun really do their job so well up here.

We replaced our umbrellas, which were three years old and, despite my power-washing skills, were pretty dirty. These were on sale when I bought them for a little over $100 each, and they seem to be made of nylon or something much easier to wash. The catch-22 is that white outdoor upholstery and umbrellas look the best, but if not properly and covered can get gross with the rain and mud up here. But boy, does it pop in such a fresh way.

Adirondack Chair | Striped Towel | Solar Lamp

The double-scallop trip is so cute, and the hit of black gives it a nice definition. What I am in the market for now is umbrella stands on wheels that won’t rust after one summer and then become wonky (it was impossible to make them straight!). Those solar lamps up there are awesome, BTW. They cast the coolest shadow pattern on the ground and turn on automatically when the sun goes down.

Side Table | Chaise Lounger | Bolster (old) | Green Cup

For this partnership, I could have done some product boards or just shown all the Wayfair stuff we have, but I needed those umbrellas and the side table, and y’all, they showed up within a week. So impressive. The side table is cement with a glaze, so hopefully it can handle the PNW rain (they usually can). The chaise lounge is from Neighbor, via Wayfair, and it’s teak and has patina’d so nicely (but I probably should oil it).

The floaties are so cute and fun (and I love the tab so you can hang them up should you need), but I was so surprised by how small they are until… I realized there are two sizes, ah. This is the bigger one!
