Man arrested after 17 pounds of meth, $25K cash seized

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Mexican national living in the U.S. illegally has been indicted in Oregon on federal drug and gun charges after investigators seized more than 17.5 pounds of methamphetamine along with firearms and over $25,000 in cash, prosecutors said on Thursday.

Court documents say that on March 26, Baltazar Plata Bringas, 31, was arrested during a drug deal where authorities found approximately 17 bags of methamphetamine in his car.
