PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Questions linger after a pedestrian was struck and hurt in an apparent e-bike accident in Milwaukie on Tuesday.

The Milwaukie Police Department told KOIN 6 News that an accident happened near Southeast Johnson Creek Boulevard and Southeast 45th Place. The rider was described by witnesses as a man but he has yet to be identified or located.

Police said they believe it was most likely an accidental crash. While the rider did stop briefly after the crash happened, he did not stay on the scene to help aid the pedestrian, who suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Investigators said that while they obtained video footage of who they believe to be the e-bike rider, it is of such poor quality that it could not be used to help identify him.
