HILLSBORO, Ore. (KATU) — Firefighters quickly contained a restaurant fire Sunday morning at the Tanasbourne Town Center in Hillsboro after multiple 911 callers reported heavy, dark smoke coming from the roof.
At 10:30 a.m., Washington County 911 received a report of heavy smoke from the roof of a one-story commercial building in the 11100 block of Northeast Evergreen Parkway.
Additional callers, including employees and passersby in the shopping center, reported that people were evacuating, fire alarms were sounding, and the smoke was becoming heavier and darker…
