PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — After reopening under new leadership, a Portland coffee shop is shuttering again.
Jim & Patty’s Coffee has announced it will soon close on Sunday, July 12. This comes less than a year after new owner Paul Ceserani reopened the location on 4951 NE Fremont St. in August 2025.

“To everyone who has walked through our doors over the years, we sincerely thank you,” the business wrote in a Facebook post shared on Friday. “We are incredibly grateful for your support. It has been an honor to carry Jim and Patty’s legacy and to serve our beloved community.”
Original owners Jim Roberts and Patty Roberts first entered Portland’s coffee scene with the debut of The Coffee Man in 1976, which was later renamed to Coffee People. The pair then sold their shares of the company in 1998, after its footprint had expanded across the U.S…
