MILWAUKIE, OR — A 43-year-old Oregon man whose legal name drew attention because it sounds like the cartoon franchise was sentenced to 20 years in prison after admitting he fired at police officers during a traffic-stop escape, prosecutors said.
Authorities said Loony John Franklin Kolb Toon shot at three officers while driving away from a June 20, 2025 stop in Milwaukie, a city just outside Portland. He later ditched his car, ran onto a golf course and was captured four days later in Sandy, about 20 miles away.
