PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A popular North Portland bottle and can redemption center is officially closing up shop Friday following years of complaints involving activity around location at Delta Park.
The Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative (OBRC), which operates Oregon’s BottleDrop network, initially announced the anticipated closure in March, after it said the landlord, TMT Development, chose not to renew the lease.
Vanessa Sturgeon, president and CEO of TMT Development, confirmed with KATU Wednesday that the BottleDrop center on North Hayden Meadows Drive is closing July 31 — “the natural end of their lease.”…
