PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – An officer with the Oregon Department of Corrections has been indicted on charges of cyberstalking his ex-girlfriend from January 2024 to October 2024, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Oregon, announced on Thursday.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 46-year-old Jack Daniel Rowlett set up fake social media profiles on Facebook which he used to post “offensive and degrading claims about the victim.”
Those included false claims about the woman’s sexual history with the men depicted in the fake accounts, according to the U.S. attorney. Those posts caused “significant emotional distress and reputational harm.”…
