Highway 26 eastbound back open after semi spills load of lumber in Vista Ridge Tunnel

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Traffic on eastbound Highway 26 was closed at the Vista Ridge Tunnel for part of the morning commute Friday after a semi spilled a load of lumber onto the roadway.

The spill happened before 10 a.m. inside the tunnel, blocking nearly all three lanes. Crews cleared one lane, allowing some traffic through before completely blocking the highway to finish loading up the boards.
