PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Portland firefighters were called to the scene of multiple grass fires and a trailer fire along Marine Drive on Wednesday afternoon.
“It is believed the vehicle fire dropped embers along the roadway to begin multiple spot fires,” Portland Fire and Rescue said in a social media post.
Crews had to close Marine Drive from NE 122 and NE 33 in both directions to fight the fires.
Fire officials said that a flatbed was called to remove the charred remains of the car that was being towed and was completely on fire when crews arrived…
