Daylight changes coming to Portland this August

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Early summer sunrises and late summer sunsets start to slip away from the Pacific Northwest this August.

Portland will lose a total of 85 minutes of daylight during the month of August. Sunrises will continue to get later in the morning as sunsets get earlier in the evening.

Saturday, August 1 will bring a total of 14 hours and 43 minutes worth of light to the greater Portland-Vancouver area. By the final day of August, Portland’s sun will rise at 6:31 a.m. and set at 7:49 p.m.
