Arrest made after Portland suspicious death reclassified as homicide

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An arrest was made after a suspicious death case was reclassified as a homicide investigation in Portland, police said.

On Friday, Portland police said they responded to a suspicious death after a man was taken to Adventist Health in Southeast Portland just after 8 a.m. At the time, details were not given about how the man died.

However, Portland police later announced their investigation showed a man had been shot in the parking lot in the 9200 block of Southeast Clinton Street. He died of homicide by gunfire, the Oregon State Medical Examiner later determined…
