PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One person is dead and five others are injured in a shooting at a home in Northeast Portland overnight Sunday and officers are searching for a suspect or suspects, according to Portland police.
The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) said they responded to a reported shooting at 3:33 a.m. on the 5800 block of Northeast Alberta Street in the city’s Cully neighborhood. When they got to the scene, PPB said they found two victims who had clear gunshot wounds. PPB said those victims were taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.
Officers said as they investigated, they found out that four more victims connected to the shooting were at the hospital. PPB said those victims were not taken to the hospital by an ambulance but instead by private vehicles.

Just before 10 a.m., PPB released a statement confirming that one person, identified only as a man, has died and the other five victims’ injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Authorities said one of those injured in the shooting was a teenager, while the others who were shot are adults. No other details were immediately available.
