PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Portland councilors will soon consider making it illegal for drivers to turn right on red lights at certain intersections.
A new ordinance, proposed by City Councilor Loretta Smith and Tiffany Koyama Lane, would direct the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) to make changes to prevent drivers from turning right at a red light in high-crash areas.
