PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An arrest has been made in the 1994 murder of Veta Hardebeck.
Randall Joseph Gall, 66, was arrested Aug. 4 from his home in Gaston by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for the previously unsolved murder of his former neighbor, 85-year-old Veta Hardeback.
Gall has been charged with second degree murder and is currently lodged at the Washington County Jail without bail. He has pleaded not guilty.
The case dates back to Feb. 16, 1994, when Hardeback was found dead in her home. The sheriff’s office said that despite a robust investigation, the case went unsolved for more than 30 years.
