Portland, OR – A man is injured, after a shooting in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood late Thursday morning.
Just before 11:30 a.m. Portland Police officers responded to a report of shots near SE 21st and Marion Street, next to Johnson Creek Park. En route, they learned that an injured man had come out of the park. They found the victim with a non-life-threatening injury, and he was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Officers requested additional resources, surrounded the park, and worked to see if a shooting suspect was still inside. They did announcements via PA system. With no response, they searched the park with a contact team of officers, using a drone, a K9, rifles, and less lethal tools. They cleared the park of danger.
