Man severely burned in ‘intentional act’ in Portland’s Old Town dies, police say

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A man who was severely burned in an “intentional act” last week in Old Town and taken to the hospital has died, the Portland Police Bureau said on Monday.

Authorities are calling 54-year-old Anthony “Tony” Knights’ death a homicide.

Officers responded to a fire near Northwest Davis Street and Naito Parkway at about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18. They said they found a man, later identified as Knights, with burns over most of his body…
