PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Air quality levels continue to worsen as western wildfire smoke returns to the region late Monday evening.
Smoke from the Austin Fire, the Narrows Fire, and the weakening Grasshopper Fire has moved its way back into the Willamette Valley.
Air quality quickly started to fall back from “Moderate” to “Very Unhealthy” conditions late Monday evening. The easterly component to Monday’s winds not only helped temperatures warm up, but also brought wildfire smoke back into western Oregon and southwest Washington.
Time spent outside Monday evening should be limited. This comes as parts of western Oregon remain under an Air Quality Advisory through Wednesday at noon…
