PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Five days after a Gresham homicide investigation ended in the death of the suspect and a K9 officer in Southeast Portland, authorities shared new details about what led to these deaths.
During a Tuesday afternoon press conference, the Portland Police Bureau identified the suspect as 39-year-old Eddie Brandon Todd Campbell of Portland. They also revealed that the K9 died of “unintended” gunfire by police.
